We are slowly introducing classes and activities back into the center. Class size is limited due to necessary social distancing practices. Classes/activities are part of your drop-in or membership fee.

EASY DOES IT FITNESS is designed for all beginners or those resuming fitness. The class will start with light stretching and range of motion exercises. You will use body weight exercises. You will also learn breathing techniques for lifting weights and exercising. The class will end with a light stretch to cool-down.
CROCHET YOUR WAY is needlework in which yarn is made up into a patterned fabric by looping yarn with a hooked needle. Learn the basics of crochet in this 30-minute class. Yarn will be provided.
Orientation:
SRC offers personal training for individuals and/or groups up to 4 people. All individuals must take the 90-minute orientation. Orientation may be done in a group; however, each individual will be assigned his or her own fitness plan. The orientation consists of a personal questionnaire, a physical activity readiness questionnaire and a fitness assessment test. You will also have a basic workout with a warm-up, followed by assessing your flexibility, range of motion, cardio and balance and closing with a cool-down. The orientation will end with a basic workout plan that can be used as a guideline toward your fitness goal.
Personal Training for Individuals:
After completing your orientation, you are now ready for your 60-minute personal workout. You and your personal trainer will be doing a variety of exercises that will be catered to your health and fitness goals. You will be using free weights, machine weights, cardio machines, body weight and other fitness equipment. All sessions will start with a warm-up and end with a cool-down. All exercises will be explained, performed and observed to make sure proper form is used.
Group Training:
Group training is one of the best ways to hold you and your partner accountable to reach your fitness goals regardless of your level. In this 60-minute workout session, you and your partner will learn different stretches and exercises that are designed for two people. Each person will do a series of exercises along with group exercises. You will be using free weights, machine weights, cardio machines, body weight and other fitness equipment. All sessions will start with a warm-up and end with a cool-down. All exercises will be explained, performed and observed to make sure proper form is used.

Bodyweight Fitness is designed to get you stronger by using your own body weight. You will be doing a number of exercises that work on balance, range of motion, endurance, and cardio. No weights will be used. The class will end with a light stretch as a cool-down.
EZ Fit is designed for all beginners or those resuming fitness. The class will start with stretching and range of motion exercises. You will be using light weights along with body weight exercises. You will also learn breathing techniques for lifting weights and exercising. The class will end with a light stretch as a cool-down.
Chair Fitness is designed as a light 30-minute workout for the upper body. The class starts with a light upper body stretch and range of motion exercises. You will be using free weights, machine weights and body weight from a seated position. The class will end with a light stretch as a cool-down.
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese tradition that today is practiced as a graceful form of exercise. This class involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner, and accompanied by deep breathing.
H.I.I.T. is a high-intensity interval training technique in which you give all-out, 100% effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods. This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time. The class will start with a light warm-up, then focus on simple cardio and bodyweight exercises, adding occasional light weights to the routine. The class will end with a full body stretch.
The definition of flex-i-bil-i-ty:
The quality of bending easily without breaking.
Willingness to change or compromise.
FLEXIBILITY- is a 30-minute class that will teach you how to bend without breaking from a standing or seated position, how to control your breathing and focus on the different parts of the body being stretched. Flexibility is designed to increase circulation, strengthen your balance and improve your range of motion while becoming more flexible.
The definition of bal-ance:
An even distribution of weight enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady.
Keep or put (something) in a steady position so that it does not fall.
BALANCE YOUR WAY- is a variety of exercises to help you improve your balance. This class is designed to accommodate all abilities, with the focus on becoming stronger. In this 30-minute class, you will learn a number of different exercises designed to build confidence and independence. Without practice, it's easy for our balance to fade away and just disappear. Have fun with others learning different exercises that accommodate you.
